So far – i have donated $250 to Island Nature and $250 to Red Cross! (December 2024)

I’ve crafted 50 of these square bottom, round top, tree mugs by hand to sell as a fundraiser for Fiona relief. From the $40 sale price, I’ll be donating $10 from each mug sold to Canadian Red Cross and Island Nature Trust from each mug that i sell.

#hurricanefiona hit the Maritimes hard, including where i live and make stuff on Epekwitk and the PEI Potters Studio in Charlottetown. I handbuilt these while the power was out and now that its back on and the kilns are fired up, I’m excited to share them with you!

I feel that this is my small part to participate in the healing from this historic storm. I choose Island Nature Trust as they have a wonderful relationship with the land and the tree design reminds us of that and the impact of climate change on this island. It’s certainly something that many Islanders connect with as well!
